We had the best baby shower ever this past weekend hosted at our aunt Phuoc’s home! We were so grateful to have so many family & friends that came to celebrate this wonderful time with us. So many details went into this shower and we couldn’t have done it with the help of our loved ones! The amazing decor was done by our wonderful aunt Phuoc. I gave her a theme to work with (pink/white/gold) & she came up with a masterpiece! I loved every single detail, from the clothesline to the mason jar centerpieces. Our invitations were homemade by my talented hubby Phong! I came up with a vision and he makes it happen. Our games were organized by my sister-in-law Linh. She did a wonderful job at keeping the crowd going. We hoped our guests found the games fun & entertaining as we did!
The desserts were by far my favorite corner (I have a biggg sweet tooth)! I couldn’t have done it without one of my closest friend/sister, Ericka! She spent many days prepping for the shower. Jenny & I had so much fun baking cupcakes and lemon tarts with her. Here are some behind the scenes. 🙂
The decor was perfect. Everything was so cute and girly! Once we placed the desserts on the table, everything just came together.
The cake was a delicious mixed berry cake ordered & decorated by our friend Jackie. Thank you so much for such a beautiful cake…I almost didn’t want to cut it!
Of course, a gathering isn’t one until there’s food involved! We had thai food catered (spicy mint fried rice, chow mein, pad see ew) and Peking Duck from Lien Hoa. We also ordered egg rolls that were fried (all 150 of them) by my wonderful mom. Our aunt Phuoc also cooked a big pot of chicken curry as well as a yummy salad.
…and of course, the best part, our family & friends! So many of them came from near and far. We were so happy and overwhelmed at the same time. Our only regret was not being able to spend much time with all of them! But we truly, truly, appreciate and hold dear to everyone who came.
We would like to give a special thanks to everyone below who has helped us with the baby shower. Without them, our shower wouldn’t turned out as great as it did!
Kaylie is lucky to be loved by so many. Thank you for all your gifts & for coming to celebrate this time with us. We are getting closer to meeting our princess! She is almost ready to meet you all…just a few more weeks of baking in mommie’s tummy!
