Our grandpa (Ong Noi) passed just a few days shy of Christmas on December 20, 2015 at 12:50am. He left at 87 years old with a full, meaningful life and family surrounding him. He was a healthy man and would’ve lived much longer if it wasn’t for the liver CA. He passed silently and peacefully so that was something we were all grateful for. He was a man of few words. Every time I see him, he would smile, pat the top of my head, and give me a tight hug. It was his way of showing love.
We thought we would be able to spend one last Christmas with him, but we were happy he left without a struggle and pain free. We had the viewing on December 22nd-23rd and the burial on December 26th. It was tough trying to find the medium between feeling joyful & sad. It reminds me of the movie Inside Out.
This is how I will remember him: sweet, happy, and gentle!
RIP Ong Noi! We love you. Enjoy fishing in heaven!
